It derives from an ancient red-stemmed dolcetto, legend has it that it was imported by the Saracens, around the year XNUMX, in the areas adjacent to Ormea, from which it would have taken its current name.
Ormeasco is a vine grown exclusively in the Province of Imperia, in the territories of the entire Upper and Middle Arroscia Valley. It is grown in the subalpine belt.
